Sharp Mountain in Tamaqua, PA, looking southwest from the crossroads at the center of town. July, 2003.

The miniature golf course at Heisler's Dairy in the Lewistown Valley, July, 2003. View is northeast at Sharp Mountain. Heisler's is on the road between Hecla and Tuscarora. Tamaqua, just over Sharp Mountain, is the largest nearby town. A surprising feature of the golf course is decoration with shiny black anthracite coal. View is to the southwest, Second Mountain to left, Sharp Mountain to right.
Heisler's specializes in the Coal Region ice cream confection, locally called the "CMP". The acronym stands for Chocolate-Marshmallow-Peanuts. Although the place is not properly in the Coal Region which is just a few valley miles away, the quality of the product is every bit as good as the original
