Hazleton's Historical Society building on North Wyoming Street has interesting artifacts of regional and coalmining history. Entering Hazleton, PA from the south on Rte. 309, Church Street. The Blue Comet diner is at right. The large building at right background used to be the Hotel Altamont. The red striped railroad crossing bars locate the position of the demolished Lehigh Valley RR passenger station
